We are so excited to be welcoming on our 2020-2021 intern Matthew Nagle. CEF ministry could not happen without the many hands hard at work and interns are a key part of our team. Each year we have been blessed to welcome Summer Interns, but this year CEF Chicago took on Matthew into our re-vamped one-year internship program.
Matthew is a high school graduate in a gap year between high-school and college. Since starting his internship on June 1st Matthew has shared “I am incredibly excited about this opportunity to serve God’s people in the city of Maywood and the Chicago area. I am excited to be an intern for CEF because I hope to continue my education in youth pastoral studies. I look forward to experiencing youth missions in an urban setting so that I may be fully equipped in God’s calling over my life.”
Matthew has already become a valued part of the team. From jumping into CYIA prep, attending Christian Youth In Action training in both students and a leadership role, as well as leading and driving a 5-Day Club team this Summer. As we look to the Fall and ask the Lord what he has planned for ministry, Matthew is excited to continue learning valuable tools through teacher training, being part of the media team, and learning from the CEF staff. Matthew is support raising for his year internship.
