Meet The Team

We are excited to announce that our Meet the Team campaign has begun. Each month we will be introducing you to one of our amazing CEF Chicago staff members along with how you can be specifically praying for them. This month is Stephanie Anderson, one of our newest team members.

Stephanie Anderson – CEF Chicago Ministry Coordinator

Stephanie joined Chicago CEF Summer 2019 coming on staff as a ministry coordinator. She moved to Chicago from Indiana and is currently living in the Housing for Urban Ministry Building in Maywood, IL. She worked hard over the summer to coordinate backyard 5-day clubs after graduating with her bachelor’s from Moody Bible Institute. We asked Stephanie a few questions about how God brought her to Chicago and how she can see His hand in the ministry. Read below her answers to how God called her into CEF  Chicago what how she has seen God’s hand in ministry.

“I worked with CEF of Indiana since I was 13, so after I graduated from Moody Bible Institute I was looking for ministry jobs. While at Moody I helped with Good New Clubs for two years so I was familiar with Chicago CEF. Around graduation time I talked to Ben and he gave me a few different options for potential roles that I could do here within Chicago CEF. I loved the potential roles and I could stay at my church, live with other missionaries, and serve God in the Chicagoland area. It was a great fit!”

One way I got to see God’s work was getting to answer kid’s tough questions about God. Their questions revealed deep hurt that only God could fix. Getting to open a Bible up with them and show them from God’s Word the answers to their questions was beautiful. This summer God did a lot of work in my own life. He provided a great community of people to walk alongside me so I could love and be loved. This summer healed me from a lot of hurts I didn’t know I had. God showed his love to me by providing me my community. I am a new missionary so support raising seemed like a daunting task. I saw God tangibly provide for my emotional, spiritual, communal, and financial needs in some creative ways. God worked through the children, but He also worked through me and changed me.”

Prayer Requests:

  1. Boldness in support raising.
  2. That God would help her adapt well in this transition season.
