Changes in CEF Leadership
CEF is a ministry that is held up by men and women who step up to teach, train, and lead. CEF of Chicago is blessed to have Jonathan King serving as metro area director and CEF international has been blessed to have Reese Kauffman, President of Child Evangelism Fellowship has leader. CEF international sent out a statement to all staff this past August.
“But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant.” Matthew 20:26
The statement read  “Linda and I announce our retirement from CEF effective June 30, 2022. This decision comes as I approach 80 years of life. It has been the highest privilege and joy of our lifetime to be involved in CEF and working with you, the CEF family. You love the Lord, and He has given you a love for children. That combination makes you some of the greatest people in the world—carrying out the greatest commission God has ever given.
There has not been a day in the past 32 years when Linda and I have felt worthy of the responsibility of leading the CEF family. It has always been obvious to us that God works through weaker things to accomplish the work of His Kingdom. We are certainly an example of this truth.
Linda often tells people, “We love what we do.” And that is so true. We have always known that when the day came, it would be very difficult to leave CEF. Yet we know God will give grace. We believe with all our hearts in the truth of Luke 10:2 and that it is God’s direction for providing the future leader of this great work.”
Please join us in prayer as we ask God to present who will best lead Child Evangelism Fellowship in bringing the gospel to this next generation.
