God is at work this week! Seven 5-day clubs are being taught in the Oak Park, Berwyn, and Maywood neighborhoods. Teens ages 12-19 finished their one week of training and are now out teaching 90-minute evangelistic 5-day backyard clubs. Below is just one of many stories of how God is at work through the teens attending the eleven day CEF Chicago Christian Youth in Action camp. A teen named Jalen shares how God used him to speak into a young child’s life.
“ A 3-year-old boy named William walked up to me with the Word Up and he pointed to the words “Trust Jesus” . He said the Word Up and I asked him does he know who Jesus is and he said no. I explained the wordless book to him and told him about sin and how he could be forgiven and be cleaned from his sins. I was telling him who Jesus was and telling him that Jesus created everything in the world and created us, and then when I told him that Jesus loves everybody his mouth dropped and he ran to his dad. I scurried after him and heard him tell his dad that Jesus loves him and he created everything.”
What an incredible God we serve that calls his children to himself by calling us to share the gospel in Cook and DuPage counties.
