As the club teacher shared the gospel with the young girl, she was in tears… At the age of 7, she was sad because she had sinned against God and she recognized that her sin separated her from God. These tears of sadness were the result of the Holy Spirit convicting her of her sin and her need for a savior. As the teacher went on to share the full Gospel of Jesus Christ, and how she could have a personal relationship with Him and have her sins forgiven, her eyes began to glow. Soon she received Jesus as her savior from sin and her tears of sadness turned into tears of Joy! She was excited to hear that she not only had her sins forgiven, but was now a child of God.
The teacher continued to share with the young girl the truths of God’s word and all His promises to her of never leaving her and helping her to do what was right. In sharing with her about how she should grow as God’s child and how she could share God’s love with others the teacher said, “Some people don’t know Jesus…”
The little girl quickly responded with “some people don’t know they are separated… people who do shootings are separated…”
She had already grown a burden for the lost. This is why we do what we do.. share the GREAT GOOD NEWS… the Hope we have in Jesus. What a blessed day to see God touch a young life as He did with this little girl!
It is incredible to watch God change tears of sadness to tears of joy as he calls people to Himself and transforms them from the inside out. Thank you for your gift support and prayer which makes this kind of transformation in this little girl and other children like her possible. God Bless you
